OK so I have two options.

Option A: Continue my JulNo through AugNo, even though it doesn't seem to be going anywhere at the moment.

Option B: I have just rediscovered the presence of my novel I started writing in June '09 and it is a sad story and I only have two chapters. Remember how I wanted the plot to go and continue it.

EITHER WAY I'll be continuing something that's not new... If only you could bend the rules with NaNo like that... oh wait..

You should do whichever is making you feel more excited at the moment, Dimi. (Or you could work on both and add the new words from each together.)

All right, I've figured out my goal. I'm going for 30,000 words. That should get me pretty close to done with the sequel which will give me some down editing time during September and October.

Anyone else know their numbers for sure?

Yeah, I'm keeping my goal@ 10k, and I'll probably just go on working on Culless or perhaps on Aaltje, There You Go... that has been languashing for the last couple of months.

So, it's a half-empty glass, but it's a bright and shiny one?

I think my tentative goal is 15K (500 words a day, with one free day for an emergency.) I'm hoping to focus more on consistency than actual word count though.

(And, oh yeah, try to finish this stuff that is sitting on my hard drive.)

All right, so August 1 is in three days. Is there anything that helps you get motivated for something like this? Anything we could do on the forums that would help you reach your goal?

Yes. Stalk me on any social network you can find me on and nag me to write write write WRITE and nothing else.

Oh and apparently I dont move in on the 16th but on the 20th. So i got more time that way, but I'ma have to stop my AugNo on the 23rd anyways - that is when school starts up again and i wont have time to finish it. Yeah. Then I may bend the rules when November comes... because I REALLY wanna get this story done

I've just won JulNo (Panic Time wins it again), so I'm resting for a couple days. I'll take advantage of the break to register for AugNo so that I'm ready when it begins. In the meantime, I'll start writing some 50/90 songs...

:O

AugNo is coming at us sooner than we expected - anyway I've decided, I'll have a limitless goal and be happy with what I have once my AugNo writing stops.

I've also decided I'll do AugNo with my unfinished project from June 2009. It's at 7k already but thats not enough! Not for Dimi... lol

WHO'S READY TO GET IT ON?!

Note cards. . .Check; Idea decided. . .check; Goal set. . .uhhhhhh
Okay it's time to set a goal. I figure I'm going to go all out this month. I'm going for 50,000 words, like Nano. And I'm going to split the time between the rewrite of Nano09 and the other idea that the muse wants to write right now (I've got to keep her happy). I know I'm in for it since I've got a busy month at work and going to the gym daily, but it's what I'm shooting for. nagging and support are gladly accepted.
Good luck guys!

Good luck, everyone! Have you written yet today?

I haven't, thanks to a couple early-morning phone calls that necessitated many others things--but there's still time, and I will write tonight.

I've finally signed up for AugNo. Now I'm going to sort out some Spanner plotlines before I start writing.

Okay, everyone, let's check in. How's it going?

I've written absolutely nothing so far. Um...oops?
