Dreaded Slough of Despond! Oh, I am here. I am so, so here. I finished the first book in a two-book series during NaNo and started the second one, which is now sitting at 30K. I want to finish Book Two by Dec 31st, but my motivation seems to have run away screaming.

It's been hard. Aiming to write 700 words a day, but I haven't written in two days. *grits teeth* Just keep swimming, just keep swimming...

I have only one finished... a fanfic of a movie (slash >< ) and it needs editing really bad. I have not touched it for... a year mayhaps.

Well, there is also some stuff in my language, but I know what it had been "rated" like in comments, so... And another one...

*looks at the pile of ideas* Umm yeah. 'Maybe' they could be reworked...

And as for my NaNo, I swear I know nothing of Las Vegas or Louisiana / New Orleans / Haiti - and i swear while writing it along with others I 'so' should have finished it in at least like... three parts :( It's sort of like "Jacob's Ladder" main character now, living her after life and not knowing it (the work, that is) ><

Hi, Dimi! How's it going?

Pretty good in general. Still writing, but I haven't written a word for 6 whole days. I don't know why. I just can't bring myself to finish up the last bits of my 09 NaNo. Not sure why. I want to edit soon, too, but I'm not going to edit anymore until I actually finish.

How's things on your end?

I'm in the same boat. I haven't touched my nano since November 30th. I think the 15,000 word day took a toll on me, and I know that I really need to trash a bunch to even know where to start, which is painful for me to do. Maybe I should start now instead of playing on the internet.

I wrote. Only a few hundred words, but I wrote. At least I got the restart moved over into its own document.

I'm not writing either, but that's mostly because my research (next story is *cough*smut*cough*) is so fascinating.

However, I have suffered through post-NaNo non-writing blues before. Try this.

Set a timer--kitchen timer, timer on the stove, timer on the microwave, cell phone, whatever--to ten minutes. Sit down and write like it's NaNo--as fast as you can, paying little attention to what, just trying to get the wordcount.

What you get won't be great, but it might be enough to get you moving again, and then you can take a saner pace.

If it doesn't work--I'd do it again.

I'm with you all. I wrote a bit on my NaNo on Dec. 1 and haven't touched it since then. Granted, that was partly because I had to polish up a chapter of another story for my critique group, but that's been done since Thursday. Hopefully now that I've had a weekend off, I can get back into it...
