The Quote
There are three rules for writing a novel. Unfortunately, no one knows what they are.

My username is the same as at Nano.

I'm actually working on moving two books toward publishing. One is my NaNo book, and the other is a non-fiction book.

Dunno what else to say, just stumbled onto this site's existence today. ;)

Hello and welcome! What are your books about?

Feel free to stop by The Common Room, which is always a good place to hang out and chat.

The fiction one is I guess you'd say an urban fantasy: set in San Francisco, some fairies break loose and the humans responsible have to work to fix the portal between worlds as soon as possible. But they don't manage to do it before some bad guys find out about the fairies and work out a plan to kidnap them to use them for their own evil ends. It has a happy ending. ;) It also has a name: The Sunshine Line.

The other one is transforming the blog I wrote during my cancer treatment into a book. It will be in an up-close day-by-day personal thing, but I can't just submit my blog lol. I have to have definitions for medical terms and procedures and lots of other details. It's a massive undertaking and taking it on wasn't my idea. But I believe it's worthwhile. I don't think there's anything quite like what this will be out there, and so many people have encouraged me to do this (not knowing anyone else had or that I was considering it or anything lol).

thanks for the welcome.

Urban fantasy is what I write too. Very cool.

Good luck with the turning blog-into-book. That does sound like it would take a lot of work, but could be really worth it in the end.
